The GRC SCOUT-3000 ESP Surface Monitoring System provides the interface for communication with GRC’s line of ESP sensors.

The GRC SCOUT-3000 Surface Monitor features a large, high-resolution touch screen display and USB flash drive port, and can be connected to surface drives to provide automated shut-down signals in addition to alarms protecting lift systems and well integrity. Data is transmitted over the AC power lines connected to the submersible pump. A variable DC supply is incorporated in the GRC SCOUT-3000 to power the downhole ESP gauge. Since the power supply is connected directly to the HVAC voltage powering the submersible pump, protection is provided to allow the gauge to withstand HVAC noise and fault conditions. Supply current through the variable DC-supply is monitored to detect the ESP Gauge transmission signal.

Expansion ports allow for optional components to be installed by the end-user. These modules include: 4-20mA current loop based on downhole sensor measurements, RS-422/485 Modbus port to allow networking capabilities, nonvolatile expansion memory to record measurements and a 16 bit color 4.3” LCD resistive touchscreen to provide system status and data viewing. The flexible design of the GRC SCOUT- 3000 allows mounting inside or outside of cabinet doors. Additional analogue input and output cards can be added as required.
